Daily we are faced with situations that demand us to make choices. While we are free to make the choice we do not get to choose the consequence of our decision.
As Christians, the Word of God should be the final authority in our lives. We do not get to negotiate or compromise clear instructions from the Word. But what do you do when there are no clear instructions from the Bible? According to Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:23; we should consider if what we want to do is beneficial or constructive. If it is not, it is suggested not to do it.
We should apply this principle to every aspect of our lives; in the way we treat our bodies, people and the environment. We should only participate in behaviour that are helpful, that builds up, profitable and brings growth. “So then, let us pursue what leads to peace and to mutual edification.” (Romans 14:19)
